World Day for Cultural Diversity - Dialogue and Development 2021

On Friday 21st May we celebrate World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development 2021 with a FREE webinar on Diversity and Inclusion.

We are delighted to have Claudette Whyte, ACOI Director; Della Hunter, Data Protection Officer, Teagasc and Christina Bisdra, Compliance Advisor at Zurich Life Assurance PLC share their journeys and the challenges that they have faced.

Our panel will explore questions such as:

  1. What is World Day for Culture Diversity and why should it be celebrated?
  2. What is conscious inclusion?
  3. How do we become more inclusive in the workplace and as a society?

Claudette Whyte, Director, ACOI
Claudette Whyte has been an ACOI member since 2015 and is a Fellow of the Association of Compliance Officers in Ireland, Certified Data Protection Officer and Certified Financial Crime Prevention Practitioner, having completed the MSc in Compliance delivered by the IOB and awarded by UCD. Claudette works in Compliance Assurance at Barclays. Prior to this, she worked in various positions in Compliance, Legal and Forensic Investigation.

Della Hunter, Data Protection Officer, Teagasc
Della is currently the Data Protection Officer in the semi-state body Teagasc, having completed the MSc in Compliance in 2019 with the Institute of Banking. She is a Fellow of the Association of Compliance Officers of Ireland and a Certified Data Protection Officer. She has previously held roles in Internal Audit and Risk Management and in Corporate Services in Teagasc. She has a Master’s in Public Management from the Institute of Public Administration and her primary degree is in Arts where she pursued studies in Law, Sociology and Politics. The early part of Della’s career was spent in the Civil Service where she was based in several Government Departments which included Agriculture, Social Welfare, Environment and Justice. She has been passionate about equality since her undergraduate studies. She is a member of the Teagasc Diversity and Inclusion Project Team and she led the team in drafting the first Diversity and Inclusion Strategy in Teagasc which was launched in 2020. She is also a member of the Professional Members Network Dublin branch which is focused on achieving gender balanced leadership through the professional development of its members and networking.
Della is originally from County Mayo in the West of Ireland where she still regularly spends time. She lives in Tipperary with her husband and two sons.
