Gerry Cross, Director of Policy and Risk, Central Bank of Ireland

Gerry Cross has been Director of Policy and Risk at the Central Bank of Ireland since May 2015. He is responsible for the Bank’s Prudential and Financial Conduct policy and its supervisory risk framework (PRISM) . Prior to joining the Central Bank, he was Managing Director for Advocacy at the Association for Financial Markets in Europe (AFME). He previously worked at the Institute of International Finance in Washington where he was Deputy Director, Regulatory Affairs.

Gerry spent eight years in policy functions at the UK Financial Services Authority. He has also been Director of Group Credit Policy at Fortis Group. A barrister by training, Gerry completed his law degree at UCD and his Master of Laws at Cambridge University before attending Kings Inns, Dublin.

 

Joe Dunphy, VP Product Management, Fenergo

Joe joined Fenergo in 2010 and is responsible for the overall delivery of product strategy and design across the Fenergo suite of applications. With a strong background in regulatory compliance solutions, Joe has deep banking and regulatory knowledge and maintains currency of knowledge in this ever-evolving industry by taking an active lead in Fenergo’s Client Advisory Boards and industry roundtables and forums. Prior to Fenergo, Joe 

spent four years working for Lloyds Banking Group and three years with Bank of Scotland (Ireland) Limited. Joe holds a Master’s in Business Studies from UCD, Smurfit School of Business, a postgraduate Diploma in Business Systems Analysis and Bachelor of Commerce degree from National University of Ireland.
