    ACOI 2017 Conferring Ceremony – Photo Gallery

    On 6th December over 300 people, graduates, their family, friends and guests of the ACOI were in attendance in the Great Room of The Shelbourne Hotel to acknowledge the achievements of ACOI members who studied on one of the programmes in the ACOI suite of educational offerings and those members that took up ACOI designations in 2017.

    Our President, Clive Kelly has introduced a new section to the ezine. This section provides the opportunity for you to provide your voice on issues and topics which will help our association represent you and our membership. 

    The Cover feature is Ed Sibley, Deputy Governor, Prudential Regulation, Central Bank of Ireland. This follows on from Ed’s address at our recent Annual Conference, held on the 10th November 2017.

    Anti-Money Laundering Bulletin from the CBI

    The Central Bank has provided guidance to the financial industry as to the implementation of an effective AML/CFT regime.  The most recent guidance given by the Central Bank can be accessed below.

    NIS Directive – Consultation on Security Measures & Incident Reporting

    A consultation paper has issued on security standards and cyber incident reporting by Operators of Essential Services (OES). Closing date for submissions is 20th December.

    GDPR – New Guidelines Issued

    The Article 29 Working Party has published new guidelines on profiling and breach reporting and further guidelines on data protection impact assessments and determining whether processing is “likely to result in a high risk” for the purposes of Regulation 2016/679.     The DP & Technology WG understands that a press release and consultation paper will issue w/c 23rd October from the NCSC (National Cyber Security Centre) on the Network Information Security (NIS) Directive.  ACOI will post these here for the information of members when issued.
