On Thursday, 28th January, World Data Protection day the ACOI and IOB will host a webinar with Garrett O’Neill, Assistant Commissioner of the Irish Data Protection Commission and Denis Kelleher, Bloomsbury Professional, author of "Privacy and Data Protection Law in Ireland", co-author of EU Data Protection Law and lecturer on the ACOI/IOB Professional Certificate in Data Protection.
Garrett O'Neill will discuss problem areas the DPC are witnessing in companies complying with GDPR. He will also outline the inaccuracies in the filing of credit records on the Central Credit Register and failures in proper data protection requirements when collecting and processing personal data for AML compliance.
For those who hold designations and have CPD requirements this event will count towards the LCOI, CDPO and FCOI (Compliance) designations.
