Dimitri Parraud, Director, Compliance and Regulatory Consulting, Duff & Phelps

Dimitri Parraud is a director in the Compliance and Regulatory Consulting practice, based in Paris. He specializes in governance, risk, compliance and financial crime.
Prior to joining Duff & Phelps, Dimitri was at the Financial Markets Authority (AMF) in France, serving as a financial expert on complex investment strategies and complex products, where he represented the AMF during technical negotiations at the European Securities Markets Authority (ESMA).
Dimitri has worked on many reviews covering a wide range of issues, including anti-money laundering controls, regulatory audit for inspection process, risk governance and framework, market abuse and valuation governance for private equity firms. He reviews firms’ governance and reporting arrangements, compliance and risk frameworks, systems and controls in order to provide recommendations on areas of weaknesses identified. Dimitri also conducts regulatory due diligence, assisting a broad range of financial services firms globally to identify sources of potential regulatory risk and communication within regulators.
Dimitri received a MSc in finance and economics and a post-graduate diploma in negotiation and strategy to influence from ENA (Ecole Nationale d’Administration).

 

 

Alan Thomas, Director, Compliance and Regulatory Consulting, Duff & Phelps
Alan Thomas is a director in the Duff & Phelps Compliance and Regulatory Consulting practice, based in Dublin. He provides specialist support in risk management and asset servicing the Undertakings for Collective Investment in Transferable Securities Directive (UCITS) and Alternative Investment Fund (AIF) fund sectors.
Alan has worked on client servicing for some of the world’s largest and complex asset gatherers. This has included monitoring and providing consultancy on risk, governance and control matters. Alan's areas of expertise include: investment risk management, operational risk management, enterprise risk frameworks, corporate governance and outsource oversight, depositary servicing, fund administration services, anti-money laundering and project management.
Before joining Duff & Phelps, Alan was at Brown Brothers Harriman, working as a senior operational risk manager.
Alan holds a M.Sc. in financial services from The Institute of Banking Ireland and a B.A. in accounting from Edinburgh Napier University. He’s also a Chartered Banker.
